As a new and practical research in the field of translation, the English translation of Chinese dish names is an important part of Chinese cuisine culture, and meanwhile, it is also a window of Chinese culture to the outside world.

During the Olympics, Chinese Menu in English Version, a book issued by governmental departments, sought to solve some standing problems in menu translation, namely, that there were different English names for the same Chinese dish and unqualified translation.

On several scientific terms in pollination biology and their Chinese translation;

For terms with existing Chinese translation, we checked and polished their translation; for those yet without translation, we proposed rendition based on the principle of understandability from the appearance.

In order to find out the close relationship between them,by adopting the translation of Chinese cuisine names,the article discussed the indispensable place of the intercultural awareness and the leading function of presupposition and implicatures when translating.
