【翻案】
  推翻已经断定的罪案,称为翻案。例如《官场现形记》第二三回:“事已到此,乐得翻案,翻供到底。”今亦指推翻原有的结论、鉴定和处分等。诗人有所谓“翻案”法。且举宋代苏轼为例。晋代名士刘伶以旷达著称,常携酒乘鹿车而游,让人荷锸相随,说:“死便埋我。”苏轼《和顿教授见寄用除夜韵》诗反用其典云:“既死何用埋,此身同夜旦。”更为达观。又如《庄子·达生》谓醉汉坠车不惊,“乘车不知也,坠亦不知也,死生惊惧不入乎其胸中。”苏轼《和陶饮酒》诗之十三用了“翻案”法:“醉中虽可乐,犹是生灭境;云何得此身,不醉亦不醒。”在意境上更深了一层。诗家“翻案”法不仅是个形式与技巧的问题,而且还有一种豁然大悟的思想境界。所有这些,都是渊源于禅宗的。钱钟书《谈艺录》指出:“禅宗破壁斩关,宜其善翻案。”什么是禅宗的“翻案”呢?元·方回《名僧诗话》序解释说:“北宗以树以镜譬心,而曰:时时勤拂拭,不使惹尘埃。南宗谓:本来无一物,自不惹尘埃。高矣!后之善为诗者,皆祖此意,谓之翻案法。”禅宗机锋敏捷,出奇制胜,擅长“翻案”。又据《坛经·机缘品》记载,卧轮禅师有一首偈子:“卧轮有伎俩,能断百思想;对境心不起,菩提日日长。”六祖慧能举重若轻,回敬一偈:“慧能没伎俩,不断百思想;对境心数起,菩提作么长。”这首“翻案”偈作得精彩,“翻”出了南宗顿教的“本来面目”。(李明权)
