袁伟民(1939～ ）

    中国排球教练员。江苏苏州人。
    1958年入江苏省男子排球队，1962年入选中国国家队，任主二传手和男排队长。参加过200余场国际比赛。在1966年第六届世界男排锦标赛上，获最佳运动员奖。1976年任中国女子排球队教练，他的训练原则是从难从严，从实战出发。他率中国女排于1979年获亚洲冠军。1981年获世界杯女排赛冠军。1982年、1984年又分别获得第九届世界女排锦标赛和第二十三届奥林匹克运动会冠军，为中国女排实现了三连冠。曾获第三届世界杯排球赛最佳教练员奖和1983年第一届世界超级女排赛最佳精英教练奖。为表彰他为中国体育事业作出的贡献，中国国家体委于1981年和1983年两次向他颁发了体育运动荣誉奖章。袁伟民于1984年出任国家体委副主任，并兼任中国排球协会主席，中国足球协会主席。
