By translating literary theory is meant the theory and the practice of transporting literary theory from one social space to another by means of linguistic vehicles,which is inter-active with spatial poetics,and has gradually gained its legitimacy as an independent academic discipline conducive to complementing for the contemporary Western literary theories.
翻译文论是经由语言载体转换而从一种社会空间进入另一社会空间的文学理论及其语际实践形式。

考古学和民族学关于文化起源的一种理论。这种理论认为文化的类似是由于传播的结果，它的基本立场是，把每种文化因素以及文化的复合体，都以传播论为中心来予以解释，同独立发生说相对立。从19世纪末到20世纪初，这种理论非常流行。英国考古学家G.E.史密斯和W.J.佩里等人，曾主张巨石文化由埃及传播到全世界等说法，目前已很少得到人们的承认。民族学上的文化圈，也属于文化传播论的一种。象上述极端的文化传播论，应该予以反对，但是在一定地区内形成的高度发展的古代文化，确曾通过文化交流，对邻近地区产生影响，因此也应该承认传播在文化发展中是起着一定的作用的。
