Egypt's Luxor balloon tours may reopen in one week: governor

LUXOR, Egypt, March 1 (Xinhua) -- The hot air balloon tours may reopen for tourists in a week, as the legal papers and permits of balloon companies are valid and they undergo regular technical check, Luxor Governor Ezzat Saad told Xinhua in an exclusive interview Friday.

The governor's statement comes a few days after a shocking hot balloon explosion in Egypt's famous city of antiquities Luxor, some 670 km south of the capital Cairo, which killed 21 tourists with different nationalities and injured the other two.  Full story
