  一群革兰阳性无芽胞杆菌。为多形态性、厌氧或兼性厌氧生长。有发酵糖类产生大量乳酸或其他酸类的能力,在pH3.0~4.5的酸性条件下仍能生长。乳酸杆菌是脊椎动物的消化道、阴道的正常共生菌,也广泛存在于乳制品如乳酪及酸奶中。对消化道内有害微生物的生长繁殖有抑制作用。
