This paper, taking Wangmuchi temple in Mountain Tai as center, tries to explain what Wangmuchi is and then further explore the idiosyncrasy of Wangmuchi as a temple, which is sacredness.

Based on the field investigation of Xiyue Temple located in Western Henan Province,and a survey made about the legends of temple and the miraculous stories in the villages,this paper makes an analysis and exploration of the belief continuity shown in the various legends and miraculous stories,as well as the farmers′ choice of meaning world and their behavior standards influenced by such belief.
通过对豫西西岳庙的田野调查,将庙的传说和"灵验"故事放回村落场域中进行考察,探讨在各种传说与"灵验"故事之中所呈现出的信仰延续,以及在这种影响下乡民意义世界与行为规范的选择。

灵谷庙
灵谷庙位于 广东阳江市海陵岛东北部的灵谷村，庙址在村首。庙门西向，正对浅海湾，庙宇属民间神庙，彩饰艳丽，浓青重彩，正殿的供台主位是战神“灵谷公”，神坛两侧有真人大小彩塑，既非宗教先祖，亦非历史人物。但造型栩栩如生，服饰华丽，庙里无宗教人士主持活动，却香客如云，声名远播。逢吉日，四村乡人，衣衫干净，敬备香油，向庙中赶去，或许愿奉香，或卜卦问签，是时庙中熙熙攘攘，香烟绩绕。吸引了许多远方的游客，在此体会一番中国民间文化中寓意深刻的鬼神文化气氛。
