This article analyses the main obstacles that influence the improvement of students English listening ability, such as pronunciation obstacle, lexicology and grammar obstacle, tempo obstacle, listening habit obstacle and cultural background obstacle etc.

This paper ,which is based on careful analyses on the main factors affecting students listening ability, tries to give some strategies to solve the problems.

Therefore the class teaching of English Listening plays a significant role in enhancing the students listening ability.

The listening level of the students affects their study deeply.

It shows that the WSLE is conducive to the development of the learners\' listening strategy use; 3) There are some differences between learning strategies and listening levels in the WSLE.

A Study on the Relationship between Listening Strategy Use and Listening Proficiency;
