Back on such modern researching methods as theory of statistics, this thesis has paid thorough attention to the pronouns in the Chinese translated Buddhist Sutra during the period of Three Kingdoms.

This paper focuses on the issue of ideology by exploring the relationship between power and translation and tries to prove that Sutra translation into Chinese in the Tang Dynasty reveals that translation,especially religious translation,is under ideological constraints from the perspectives of translation policies,translators,and translation strategies.
