Through the comparative study of their background, nature and outcome, the thesis expounds that the new system of Tian Juan played an active role in developing politics, economy, military affairs and culture of Jin Dy-nasty , but the civil strife of Zhi Ning accelerated the Jin Dynasty whole decline, and revealed the internal factors that led to the prosperity and decline of Jin s society.
