河南省禹县西部伏牛山麓古镇，中国宋代名瓷──钧瓷发源地。距县城25公里。本镇瓷业具有千年历史。钧瓷原在神垕镇蔼主沟、尚沟一带民窑中生产，釉色单一，质量不佳。北宋时，在钧台、八卦洞专门设立官窑，烧制宫廷用品。此后釉器名声大振，号称钧器。宋徽宗时曾为御用珍品，不准民间私藏。宋室南迁后，窑工流散，钧瓷失传。20世纪50年代后经多次研制，钧瓷质量达原来水平。钧瓷胎质细密坚实，断面呈羊肝色，叩声圆滑悦耳，造型端庄优美，釉面变幻多端。古代曾远销欧、亚、非各国，久享盛名。近来屡经创新，花色品种已增到350多种。除满足国内市场外,还远销国外。目前全镇已建立10多座瓷厂。
