福建晋江人。1941年毕业于菲律宾南洋中学，1956年就读于中央文学讲习所。历任菲律宾《华侨商报》国际版编辑，厦门团市委宣传部、团职工工委《厦门青年》杂志主编，工厂团支部书记，厦门文联秘书长、创作部主任，《厦门文学》主编。福建省第三、四、五、六、七届政协委员，福建海外联谊会顾问，香港厦门联谊会发起人(之一)、会员，香港散文诗协会副主席、会长。1945年开始发表作品。1985年加入中国作家协会。
