丁于，原名李庭玉，江苏常州人。中共党员。1955年毕业于北京外国语学院西班牙语专业。历任北京外国语学院西班牙语系教学组组长、系务委员，文化部对外司美大处副处长，中国驻墨西哥使馆文化一秘、驻古巴使馆文化参赞，文化部外联局参赞，译审。1984年开始发表作品。1995年加入中国作家协会。译著《科尔顿小说选》［阿根廷］、《王子公主历险记》［西班牙］、《钢铁硬汉》［西班牙］、《一个人的地位》［西班牙］、《一个西班牙农民的安魂弥撒》［西班牙］、《哈瓦那大学》、《西班牙语前置词》等。
