性质:当不同的颗粒间存在沉降速度差时,在一定离心力作用下,颗粒各自以一定速度沉降,在密度梯度的不同区域上形成区带。沉降系数越大的颗粒,往下沉降得越快,所呈现的区带也越低。沉降系数较小的颗粒,则在较小部分依次出现。差速区带离心的分辨率(不同区带相互间分开的清晰程度)比差速离心高。仅用于分离有一定沉降系数差的颗粒,与其密度无关。大小相同,密度不同的颗粒(如线粒体、溶酶体和过氧化物酶体)不能用此法分离。
