This paper introduces the construction procedure of the Yushan skating rink which is an underground large span rock cavern under the Yushan Hill in Fuzhou City.

In view of limitation of work period,during construction of large diameter,long distance shield driven tunnel,it is necessary to consider comprehensively the set-out of shield advance and internal access construction,from which a synchronised construction method is to be devised at the prerequisite of synchronized manner of construction for in- ternal access structure and shield advance.

In this practice, some chief factors have been considered, such as the system structure, the principle of totality design and implement with step by step.
