Learning Tibetan folk customs through Tibetan love songs;

The love song antiphonal responses was once an old and romantic tradition in Western Hunan.

On his love song, the words are graceful, the tune beautiful, the meaning profound and the idea deep.

With examples,the paper analyses the historic background for the generation of love songs in folk songs of Northern and Southern Dynasties in General Anthology of Yuefu Poems,classifies and elaborates those reflecting the situation of love and sexual love between men and women and points out the artistic value of the folk songs of Northern and Southern Dynasties.

Based on a series of field investigations,this paper,with reference to relevant literature,analyzes the reasons for the declination of love songs of Miao nationality in Xiangxi(the western part of Hunan Province).
