弥勒岩，别名瑞岩山，位于福清市海口镇牛宅村，距县城约10公里，古称"瑞岩丹洞"，是一人文与自然景观兼胜的风景游览区。
弥勒岩有嶙峋的岩峰或卧或悬，或离或合，幽姿万千，令人赞叹不已。
弥勒岩山麓，有一高大石佛盘膝而坐，这就是名闻遐迩的弥勒石雕造像。石佛像始凿于元至正年（公元1341年），至明洪武年（公元1368年）竣工，高6.8米，宽8.9米，由整块花岗岩就地琢成，天然妙相，袒胸露腹，两耳垂肩，笑态可掬，观者可以忘忧。经国家文物局认定，该石佛为全国最大的立体石刻弥勒佛像，已纳入国家级文物保护单位。
