嘴郁者枷饥说(m otivational theo砂of omotion)美国心理学家汤姆金斯(T omkins，5.)和伊扎德(I zard，CE.)分别提出的一种关于情绪、动机及其相互关系的理论。由于两人的观点十分接近，故合称为汤姆金斯和伊扎德情绪动机学说。其主要内容如下:情感是组成人格的相互联系的五个子系统(体内平衡、驱力、情感、认知和运动)之一。前两个子系统主要是从生物学上维持有机体的功能，后三个子系统则为复杂的人类行为提供基础，其中情感是主要的动机系统;情感系统由八种(或九种，二人说法不一)基本上是先天的情绪组成，它形成了人类主要的动机系统。在这个系统中，诸情绪因素之间的相互关系是通过一定的先天影响并按不同的等级构成的。一切情绪都包括三个相互关联的组成成分，即神经活动、面部一姿势活动和主观体验。情感在动机的形成中起主要作用，积极的情感为有效的动机和创造活动提供动力，对学习和人格都是十分重要的;消极的情感则对活动起干扰和压抑的作用。在对行动的支配和调节上，其他的子系统也有不可少的作用，如果仅只由情感起支配作用的话，行为就不能很好适应生活的要求。这一学说强调情绪的复合性及其机能的意义很重要，但更多的是从生物学角度强调其“适应性”机能，对情感的社会性及其能动作用有所忽视。 (王启康撰彭璐龄审)
