The curre nt thesis attempts to disscuss the retranslation strategies from Gadamer s philosophical hermeneutic perspective,and attempts to put forward th ree retranslation strategies:corrective retranslation,critical retranslation,and proselytizing retranslation.

It is invaluable to do a research in positive mistranslation in that the translator s ability to comprehend and represent the source text can be enhanced and that translation criticism will take a breath of fresh air.
