清代类编性散文总集。署贺长龄辑，实为魏源所代编。贺长龄(1785～1848)，字耦庚（亦作"耕"），号耐庵。湖南善化（今长沙市）人。官江苏布政使，著有《耐庵文存》。
《皇朝经世文编》成书于道光六年（1826），次年刊行，共 120卷，分为学术、治体，吏政、户政、礼政、兵政、刑政、工政八类，类下又分子目。选辑清初至道光前官方文书、专著、述论、奏疏、书札等文献，入选作品反映了清代前期和中期部分学者和官吏的"经世致用"思想及改革图治的愿望，实本于乾隆中陆耀的《切问斋文钞》，但其中关于农民问题的文章，则表现了地主阶级立场。
此书行世后,开启了近代经世思潮,续书争出。其中盛康《皇朝经世文续编》，葛士浚《皇朝经世文续编》，陈忠倚《皇朝经世文三编》，以及《皇朝经世文新编》、《皇朝经世文统编》等，影响较大。
