The agencies in Ming Dynasty were called "si-yi-guan(四夷馆)" and "hui-tong-guan(会同馆).
明清两代的中央政府均设有联络、接待外国及中国少数民族地区往来信使的专门机构,明代称作"四夷馆"和"会同馆",清代合并两馆,改称"会同四译馆"。
