關於大麥町
以發源地前南斯拉夫的大麥町地區為名。在19世紀時還是很普通的馬車犬，跟著馬車一路小跑，對攔截搶劫者有威嚇作用。曾因出現在道奇史密斯(DodieSmith)的小說「１０１忠狗」中，吸引了很多人的注意。到了近年來，一部真人版的「１０１忠狗」，更讓全球對於大麥町犬為之瘋狂。
特徵
白底上有醒目的散點圖案。白底黑點的品種遠比赫紅色的同類更普遍，各個尾端的黑點，應比身體其他不為的小些。大麥町在初生之時，全身是純白色毛，加上身體圓滾滾的，蠻吸引人的。約在６～８週後，身上才逐漸出現黑色或紅褐色的斑紋，讓人感到不可思議。
