1.又名《扣角歌》﹑《牛角歌》﹑《商歌》。古歌名。相传春秋时卫人宁戚喂牛于齐国东门外，待桓公出，扣牛角而唱此歌。《楚辞．离骚》"宁戚之讴歌兮，齐桓闻以该辅"王逸注引《三齐记》所载歌辞:"南山矸，白石烂，生不遭尧与舜禅，短布单衣适至骭，从昏饭牛薄夜半，长夜漫漫何时旦。"后遂用作寒士自求用世的典故。
