Through an investigation of the relevant French materials stored in the Royal Library of Copenhagen, Demark, this paper analyzes the tombstone and the epitaph for Ma Zaitian, a royal member from Kashgar of Xinjiang who was buried in Yunnan.
本文在丹麦皇家图书馆的法文文献中发现的有关新疆喀什王室成员马在田葬于云南的墓及墓碑资料基础上,对马在田身份进行了考证和分析,认为他很可能是新疆伊斯兰教中具有浓厚苏非神秘主义思想的和卓(宗教长老)家族成员;阐述了他为什么放弃仕途而“还俗”的动机及社会背景;最后文章指出,马在田的墓及碑文还反映了中国穆斯林社会的跨地域、跨民族、跨语言甚至跨文化的宗教网状组织系统特征,认识这样的特征对我们研究中国伊斯兰教历史有着重要的意义。

中国唐代书法家李邕撰写书文碑刻的北宋拓本。李邕(675~747)字泰和,官至北海太守,人称"李北海"。善文学,书法正、行、草皆能。此册为剪条装,1册22页,每页 6行,纵31.6厘米,横22.2厘米。书法劲练,用笔顿挫起伏。结体拗峭,能于敧侧险怪中求平正,且笔法沉厚而富于变化,形成气势雄健、神情流放的艺术特点,是李邕行书的代表作。碑文第6行"博览群书精虑众艺"的"艺"字完好,历来认为是北宋拓本。
此册前后有梁鼎芬题签,张锡銮观款,朱翼厂题跋,并有何子彰等藏印10余方。此本曾由何子彰、朱翼厂递藏,后由朱氏后人捐献故宫博物院。张彦生《善本碑帖录》著录。
碑记载唐画家李思训夫妇合葬时间为开元八年(720),立于陕西蒲城。
