Like conversational English,during the course of translating conversational Chinese,it is common that we frequently use dialects and slang,and are easily affected by various language environments.

Through closed analysis of Chinese conversation, we can see that those which are able to form overlapped verbs of single syllables (A) are connected with human body and senses (volitional verb).

This thesis aims at exploring the validity of the model and elaborating the research of co-constituting politeness implicature by analyzing naturally occurring Chinese conversations.

Different from current research on evaluation,the paper intends to approach evaluation in Chinese conversation from pragmatic perspective by analyzing its pragmatic nature,and draws the conclusion that the linguistic expression of evaluative meaning in Chinese conversation is chosen by speakers to adapt to certain contexts in order to satisfy the communicative needs.

On the basis of Relevance Theory(Sperber & Wilson,1986) and the knowledge of cognitive context,integrating with plenty of examples of English and Chinese conversational discourse,this paper explores the psychological process of the communicator in interpreting the rich meaning of turn silence.

Chinese topic is always placed at the beginning of a sentence and regarded as normal word order.
