诗界革命 中国清代戊戌变法前后的诗歌改良运动。早期倡导者是夏曾佑、谭嗣同、梁启超3人。1896~1897年间,他们开始试作“新诗”,多用经典语、新名词。谭嗣同等人力图开辟诗歌语言的新源泉,表现资产阶级新思想,有其积极可取的一面。但是,他们实际上使诗歌的语言源泉更为狭窄,写出来的作品又完全不顾诗歌的艺术要求,既脱离传统,又脱离群众,很快就丧失了生命力。代表作是谭氏的《金陵听说法》。戊戌维新运动失败后,梁启超逃亡国外,以主要精力从事文化宣传,推进文学改良,诗界革命成为其中一个重要方面。他在《清议报》、《新民丛报》、《新小说》等刊物上开辟专栏,发表谭嗣同、唐才常、康有为、黄遵宪、蒋智由、丘逢甲、夏曾佑等人的作品,又自撰《饮冰室诗话》,阐发理论观点,大力表扬黄遵宪等新派诗人,诗界革命于是形成了一定的规模和声势。后期诗界革命要求“以旧风格含新意境”,对早期的形式主义倾向有所纠正,此期歌词和民间歌谣创作得到发展,黄遵宪的《军歌》是其中名篇。诗界革命冲击了长期统治诗坛的拟古主义、形式主义倾向,要求作家努力反映新的时代和新的思想,部分新体诗语言趋于通俗,不受旧体格律束缚,这些在当时都起了解放诗歌表现力的作用。随着改良派政治上的堕落,诗界革命的旗帜逐渐收起。资产阶级革命派和改良派政治上对立,他们中部分人接受过诗界革命影响,但是,不愿意明确地以诗界革命相号召,有的人则企图“别创一宗”,于是,诗界革命就逐渐销声匿迹了。 |
