This study analyzes similarities and differences of love metaphor in English and Chinese from the perspective of cognitive linguistics.

Based on Fauconnier\'s Conceptual Integration Theory,this paper is designed to explore the cognitive mechanism of interpreting new metaphors of love by virtue of conceptual integration networks,with analytic figures displaying the dynamic cognitive process of meaning construction.
