Viewing from the skopos of functionalist approaches to translation,and basing upon the unique characteristics of film subtitles,this essay proposes some novel E-C translating strategies in the aforesaid subtitles:balancing the form with the meaning under the lead of skopos;gloss translation;domesticating translation in text and foreignizing translation in words.
文章以德国功能派的目的论为视角,结合影视字幕独有的特点,提出新颖的电影字幕英译汉策略,即以目的为先导,兼顾形式与意义,使用加注、语篇归化、词语异化等方法进行翻译,并指出翻译策略要为实现电影的信息表达和文化交流这一功能目的服务。
