植物形态：一年生或二年生草本，高30~50厘米。主根瘦长，白色。茎直立，中部以上多分枝，光滑无毛，或有细毛。基生叶多数，丛生而平展，具长柄，羽状深裂至全裂，顶裂片广卵形，较侧裂片为大，至开花时多渐枯萎；茎生叶匙形，倒披针形至线形，长1.5~5厘米，宽2~10毫米，边缘有大小不等的锯齿。花白色，顶生总状花序，萼片、花瓣均4片，有时晚出的花无花瓣，雄蕊常2枚，有时4枚，雌蕊1个，子房上位。短角果，扁圆形。 生态分布：归化植物，我国南北各省均有分布；多生于路旁，荒地，屋旁及田间。 药用部分：全草入药，夏秋采收。 用途：应用同芥菜。能截症退热，治感冒。
