Based on literature surveys,different strategies to translation are attempted to clarify according to the text type of literary writing in the source text,enforcing translation studies in text typology.

Genre and text type in textlinguistic research in some way provide orientation and guidelines for translation studies and translation teaching.

The notion of genre is different from that of text type.

In accordance with the schema theory, the paper then sketches a design for text-type oriented teaching in CE class, and suggests that the recognition of text types and the construction of their structural schemata facilitate students ability in decoding as well as re-coding texts in CE cl.
