陈后主(553~604) 中国南朝陈最后一位皇帝。即陈叔宝。字元秀,小字黄奴。吴兴长城(今浙江长兴东)人。陈宣帝陈顼嫡长子。太建十四年(582),宣帝死,太子叔宝继位。在他统治时 ,陈朝政治日趋腐败。叔宝荒于酒色,不恤政事,日与江总 、陈暄、孔范等10余人游宴后庭,制作艳诗。又大建宫室,滥施刑罚,对于一衣带水的强大隋朝了无防备。祯明二年(588)隋以杨广为元帅,率51万士兵南下。叔宝恃长江天险,不以为意。翌年正月,隋军分道攻入建康,陈后主与张贵妃、孔贵人避入井中被俘,陈亡。隋仁寿四年(604)卒于洛阳。
