    位于中国云南省西双版纳傣族自治州中部 。 面积7133平方千米。人口33.6万(1990),有傣、汉、基诺、哈尼等民族。元时置彻里军民总管府。明时置车里军民府。清时设车里司。1929年改车里县,1954年改设版纳景洪、版纳勐笼、版纳勐养、版纳勐旺4个版纳,1957年并为县级的版纳景洪,1960年改景洪县。1993年12月撤县设市 。澜沧江斜穿而过,河谷宽广。产稻、甘蔗、茶叶、棉花及多种水果,并产槟榔、樟脑、剑麻、橡胶等。矿产资源有铁、铜、铝土、煤等。有电力、冶炼、农具制造、化肥、橡胶加工、制茶、制糖、木材加工等工业。名胜古迹有飞龙白塔、橄榄坝等。
