加特林多管式机关枪──多管式机枪起源于15世纪、16世纪的多管式机枪以及后来的的多管炮。美国著名机械师理查德?杰丹?加特林于1862年发明了手摇式多管重机枪。加特林把6至10根枪管并列安装在一个旋转的圆筒上,手柄每转动一圈,各枪管依次完成装弹、射击、退壳等动能。一个熟练的射手,每分钟可发射约400发子弹。加特林机枪是世界上第一支成功的多管式机关枪,虽然它后来被其它的新型机枪所取代,但它的结构原理至被作战飞机和军舰上的多管速射炮所应用并保留着“加特林机关枪(炮)”的名字。
