核含肥皂草素及脂肪。

《泉州本草》："味涩。"
【功用主治】
止血，定痛，理气，化湿。治创伤出血，疝气，瘰疬，疥癣，湿疮。 ①《滇南本草图说》："治瘿疾。' ②《医学入门》："烧烟熏鼻，治流涕不止。" ③《纲目》："治狐臭，龙眼核六枚同胡椒二七枚研，遇汗出即擦之。" ④《本草再新》："治瘰疬，消肿排脓拔毒。并治目痰。" ⑤《岭南采药录》："疗疝气，敷疮癣，又止金疮出血。"
【用法与用量】
外用：煅存性研末调敷或干撒。内服：煎汤，1～3钱；或研末。
【选方】
①治刀刃跌打诸伤，止血定痛：龙眼核研敷，(《重庆堂随笔》骊珠散) ②治疝气偏坠，小肠气痛：荔枝核(炒)、龙眼核(炒)，小茴香(炒)各等分.为细末，空心服一钱，用升麻一钱，水酒薰，送下。(《内经类编试效方》偏坠散) ③治一切疮疥：龙眼核煅存性，麻油调敷。(《高世元传世方》) ④治癣：龙眼核，去外黑壳，用内核，米醋磨涂。(《医方集听》) ⑤治脑漏：广东圆眼核，入铜炉内烧烟起，将筒熏入患鼻孔内。(《黄贩翁医抄》) ⑥治小便不通：龙眼核，去外黑壳，打碎，水煎服。如通后欲脱者，以圆肉汤饮之。(《纲目拾遗》) ⑦治足指痒烂：桂圆核烧灰掺之。(《药镜》)
