BEIJING, March 30 (Xinhuanet) -- Videos posted on the internet appear to show rebels taking control of a town near Syria’s border with Jordan, after heavy fighting with government forces.

It’s claimed one of the videos shows fighting at a checkpoint in the town of Dael, 14 KM north of the city of Deraa and close to the Damscus-Deraa highway. It shows scenes of shelling followed by the sound of explosions. Commentary in the video claims the rebels had taken control of the checkpoint but that forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad continued to carry out "revenge" attacks.

Another video appears to show rocket shells launched from the land-zone of the Mezze military airport in Damascus. It’s claimed the shells targeted Eastern Ghouta, an area from which opposition forces have launched attacks on the capital.
