The 24th Pingyao International Photography Exhibition kicked off on Thursday in the ancient city of Pingyao, Shanxi province.

The multifaceted exhibition featured over 20,000 pictures from more than 3,000 Chinese photographers.

The exhibition also received 1,810 submissions from 246 international photographers representing 30 countries and regions.

Furthermore, 118 colleges, including 10 foreign colleges, participated.

One of the themed exhibition areas showcases the tremendous changes that have taken place in the regions along the Red Army's Long March over the 75 years since the founding of the People's Republic of China.
