BEIJING, March 19 (Xinhuanet) -- Chinese president Xi Jinping has met the chief executives of Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions, CY Leung and Chui Sai On.
Xi fully endorsed their work and that of their respective governments, during Monday’s meeting. Xi said Leung’s policy of stable change has been widely welcomed by Hong Kong citizens. He urged Leung and the Hong Kong SAR government to fully implement the idea.
As for Macao, Xi urged the local government and various organizations to work to solve major problems hindering the SAR’s development, and lay the groundwork for long-term development.
Chinese Premier Li Keqiang also met with the two chief executives on Monday. After hearing government work reports from the two, Li also endorsed their work.
