Stepping into the exhibition hall, it feels like being in a mysterious and beautiful natural world, with undulating mountains, swirling clouds, and rippling waters in black and white tones.

Chen Zheng's landscape photography exhibition "Ink Realm" is underway at the China National Art Museum in Beijing and will last until July 26.

The exhibition brings together over 60 works created by Chen in the past 15 years, depicting natural landscapes using black and white freehand techniques, showcasing his reflections and practices in landscape photography.

With unique perspectives, these works vividly capture natural landscapes from around the world. The mountains, rivers, clouds, mist, trees, and rocks in the works not only embody the interests and broad-mindedness of ancient Chinese literati but also carry the emotions and connotations of contemporary landscape photography.

Chen, a member of the Guangdong Photographers Association and the Shenzhen Photographers Association, has won the Silver Award in the color landscape group and the Belt Award on the 4th Global Chinese Photography Association in 2023. His work Dancing Trees was permanently collected by the Dali Museum.

Chen said, "Through the interpretation of black and white, the complexity and diversity of the natural world are transformed into concise and expressive images, showcasing a more profound, distant, powerful, and impressionistic visual impact."

A book titled Ink Realm, displaying Chen Zheng's black and white landscape photography works, has been released concurrently.
