BEIJING, March 8 (Xinhuanet) -- China has voiced support for the UN's latest resolution on the DPRK.
China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Qin Gang said the balanced resolution reflects the international community's opposition to the DPRK’s nuclear test. It promises to resolve the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue by peaceful means, while reaffirming the need to resume the six-party talks.
Qin Gang added it is in the fundamental interests of the international community to safeguard peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and northeast Asia. China also urged relevant parties to remain calm and refrain from taking any action that could escalate tensions.
