BEIJING, March 8 (Xinhuanet) -- The leader of the DPRK, Kim Jong Un, has inspected a front-line army unit stationed on two southwestern islands of the country.

The visit came after the DPRK’s Supreme Military Command said it would revoke the Korean War Armistice Agreement on March 11th, when South Korea and the United States begin joint military exercises.

The drill will involve some 10-thousand South Korean and 3,500 US troops. It has been denounced by the DPRK as a prelude to an invasion.
