BEIJING, March 3 (Xinhuanet) -- Six of nine Hong Kong victims who died in the Luxor balloon crash have been identified by their families in Cairo. The three remaining bodies are undergoing DNA tests for identification.
Relatives of the Hong Kong victims commemorated their lost ones at the site where the balloon crashed. Experts say DNA tests and other forensic methods will be used to identify the remaining bodies.
The Hong Kong SAR government Working Group has also sent psychologists and medical staff to provide the victim’s families with counselling.
Investigation results into the accident are to be published at a later date. Certain hot air balloon pilots say problems with a flame spray device are likely to be a key cause of the accident.
