BEIJING, Feb. 8 (Xinhuanet) -- The ese Defense Ministry says two n fighters entered Japanese airspace in Hokkaido on Thursday. Japan scrambled combat fighters and lodged an official protest to Russia. Russia has denied the claim.
A similar incident took place in February 2008, in the same area. Japan and Russia are involved in a long standing territorial dispute over a group of islands near Hokkaido.
