Hundreds of fire-fighters are continuing to battle wildfires that are burning out of control in the Western United States. Two more fires in Northern California have led to the closure of roads and forced the evacuation of 480 homes. Extreme weather has led to wildfires across 13 states west of the Mississippi River. A fire in Washington state has burnt down about 70 homes and scorched more than 100 square kilometers of grassland.
