| 空降兵 airborne forces 以伞降、机降方式投入地面作战的兵种或部队。又称伞兵。一般隶属于陆军，由统帅部直接掌握使用。通常由步兵、装甲兵、炮兵、工程兵、通信兵以及其他专业的部队、分队组成。是一支具有空中快速机动和超越地理障碍的能力，能实施远程奔袭，突然出现于敌后，配合正面部队作战的突击力量。主要任务是夺取并扼守敌纵深内的重要目标或地域 ，破坏敌指挥机构、导弹、核武器设施、机场、交通枢纽和后方供应，支援在敌后作战的部队、游击队。 中国人民解放军空军 ，于1950年9月组建第一支空降兵旅（伞兵旅）。以后，空降兵不断发展，经过改善武器装备和严格训练，提高空降技术，增强了现代条件下空降作战的能力。 |
