The Resources Survey and Population Monitoring of Amphibian in Hupingshan National Nature Reserve Hunan Province;

The advance for six pine caterpillars on the identification, synthesis and EAG responses of female sex pheromones, bioassay of synthetic female sex pheromones and the application technique for deploying and population monitoring in pine forests is reviewed.

The present paper gives an overview of the application of sex pheromone in the control of the rice stem borer, Chilo suppressalis (Walker), including population monitoring, mass trapping, mating disruption, influencing factors and assessing the effectiveness of control.

Based on the field survey data obtained from May 1996 to June 2003,the resources of waterfowl in Hubei province of Central China,including species diversity,distribution and population number were studied with systematic sampling such as direct count,quadrat and special survey methods.

Trapping mothes using blacklight trap in tobacco field at Fuquan county, the results show that the (seasonal) (dynamics) of the population number of Prodenia litura (Fabricius) and Heliothis armigera (Hubner) changes by a wide margin (among) different years.
