The extracurricular practical work of foreign chinese major not only can be regarded as a course,but also can be classified as a way to study the major,which is comprehensive,open and independent.

Based on the author’s teaching experience of the course,some suggestion of teaching contents,teaching methods,extracurricular practice and curricular assessment about environmental management was stated.

From student self-learning, tutor s guide and practice class teaching, the paper discuesses the methods and ways of developing student s self-learning ability.

After analyzing the existing limitations in the extracurricular scientific research education at present,this paper proposes that the measures of teaching innovation should raise the students interest in their major knowledge,and improve the management of the process of the course,with expectations of enhancing students practical abilities and cultivating their innovative spirits.
