用途：敌百虫是一各高效低毒杀虫剂，具有强烈的胃毒和触杀作用，并有熏蒸的性能。对双翅目；鳞翅目；鞘翅目害虫最为有效。主要用于防治蔬菜、果树、茶、桑、棉花和粮食作物上的咀嚼口器害虫，也用来防治卫生害虫。对多种作物一般不产生药害，但对高梁、大豆易发生药害。精制敌百虫用作畜用驱虫药。工业纯敌百虫用甲醇-水重结晶，得到精制敌百虫，可作为畜用驱虫药及抗丝虫病药。
