This paper,focusing on translating Chinese research paper abstracts in humanities and social sciences into English,attempts to set up the framework of analyzing the factors influencing the choice of translation strategy from four aspects,namely,purpose of translation,reader of translated text,function and type of text,and publisher.

Research on the Communicative Translation of Signs Based on Text Typology;

The author, by drawing on the theory of text typology, attempts to explore the translation strategies of poem s musicality, hoping that it may provide a new analysis pattern.

Therefore, the author, under the theoretical guidance of Newmark\'s text typology and translation acceptability, chooses C-E sign translation as her research, in which the author discusses the acceptability of C-E translation of public signs and explores the applicable translation strategy and various translation methods.
