为忍冬科植物宜昌荚蒾的茎、叶、根。
【植物形态】
宜昌荚莲 落叶灌木，高2～4米。小枝上部具柔毛。叶对生，卵形至卵状披针形，长3～8厘米，宽2～4厘米，先端渐尖，基部圆形，边缘具三角状尖锐细锯齿，上面疏生粗糙的星状毛，下面较密；叶柄短，被淡黄色长柔毛，基部有钻形托叶2枚。聚伞花序顶生，具5条分枝，直径2.5～4厘米；花萼短筒状，具5齿，外面密被星状毛，宿存；花冠5裂，裂片辐射状；雄蕊5，着生于花冠上，略突出于花冠之外；子房下位，密生绒毛，花柱短，柱头尖，3裂。核果，扁卵状椭圆形，红棕色，疏被星状毛。花期5月。果期9月。 野生于山地灌木林中。分布湖北、湖南、江苏、浙江、江西、四川等地。

祛风散寒，祛湿止痒。
