苏州市博物馆藏明代彩绣罗汉 明代刺绣精品。彩绣罗汉为册页残本，现存十一页。每页绣一至两人不等，对页有绣行草题赞，每题七言两句，无款识，押“澹岩”、“群王山樵”朱文印，迎首小印用长方朱文“兰斋”或长圆朱文“我思古人”。画心高26厘米、宽21厘米。旧题所本为东晋顾恺之所作画像，不确。按顾画迹见于著录中并无罗汉一类作品。且十八罗汉之说形成较晚。唐玄奘译《法住记》仅称佛祖命十六罗汉常住人世济度众生。后人加降龙、伏虎或布袋和尚等方敷衍成十八之数。据载最早的十八罗汉为唐末张玄和贯休两僧所作。册页绣品平服，针法多变，配色和谐，脸部、衣褶等部分均用晕色表现，具有较强立体感。
